        Schizzi (70) 78 84

Self Published No Date (ca 1984), No Place (Milan) - 4to, Unpaginated (ca 800pp). Spiral bound wraps. Numerous single sided Black & White photocopy pages. Stamp of 'capella architettura & design S.L.' which has been covered with a gold sticker. Text in Italian. Un-googleable and untraceable. Self published book no doubt made on the Domus office photocopier around '84. It's difficult to ascertain how many copies were produced, but almost certainly less that 10, and maybe only one. I recognise a few of the sketches from Architetture Sussurranti, La superficie modificante and Bau.Haus art collection but that aside it's around 800 pages of sketches for all sorts of ideas- places, objects, fashion, exhibitions and ideas made over a six year period. It looks to be a copy made for working personal reference, so there is no thread of narrative or evidence of editing, just raw information from Mendini's most prolific and productive years. 7 [Attributes: First Edition; Soft Cover]

        Zero Dollar

Np: The Artist, 1984. 2 5/8 x 6 1/8" sheet, offset lithograph. Signed in plate by the artist. Beginning in 1969, Meireles began his Árvore do dinheiro series, which appropriated currencies in order to question their relationship between national identity, exchange value, inflation, materiality and representation, all called into sharp relief by reducing the value of these printed objects to zero. One of the most potent art projects of its time, and one which has increasing and not yet fully understood reproductions in our time as we hurtle towards a zero marginal cost society.

AN ORIGINAL ANDY WARHOL POLAROID OF KEITH HARING: For the April 1984 Issue Of French Vogue.

New York: Polacolor. 1984. Original Polaroid image of Keith Haring with fashion model Wanakee Pugh. The photograph taken by Andy Warhol is an outtake from Warhol's 20 page article in the April 1984 issue of French Vogue. The article is a photographic documentation of the hip and happening in early 80's New York and as well as Haring, features images of John Sex, William Burroughs, Ming Vauze, The Guardian Angels, Diana Vreeland, Debbie Harry, The New York City Breakers, and others. A very good copy, white border a little grubby with some creasing to corners and two small scratches to corner of image. Provenance: Joey Mills (Joey Mills was the make-up artist for the Haring / Wanakee photographic session and this image was gifted by Warhol to him at the end of the shoot). The Polaroid is supplied with a copy of the pertinent issue of Vogue and a handwritten letter of authentication signed by Joey Mills. A unique fusion of New York cool and French style. Warhol was a relentless chronicler of life and its encounters. Carrying a Polaroid camera from the late 1950s until his death in 1987 he amassed countless images that chronicled his era, a vast expanse of intimate moments with the rich, famous, beautiful and the fun of which this is a highly desirable example. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request. Lucius Books welcomes direct contact with our customers.
