Stieg Larsson
London: Extremely rare uncorrected proof copy published by Maclehose Press in 2008. There were approximately 200 copies printed in blue boards that the publisher handed out to drum up support for the book pre first printing. This is truly the first printing of the English version of the book. Very Good ++ book. Minor rubbing to the edges, which can be seen in the pictures. Solid with no lean and very tight binding (almost as if unread) The book is sold as is with no returns. The book in the pictures is the exact one you will receive. Please ask any questions you may have. I will be more than happy to answer them and provide addition pictures if requested. The book will be shipped in multiple layers of bubble wrap inside a larger box. Shipping is free within the US via insured FEDEX Ground. 2008. Sale only today! Super RARE! Beautiful book!!! Masahisa Fukase The Solitude of Ravens Karasu Limited Edition of 1000 Rat Hole Gallery 2008 Excellent condition!!! The Solitude of Ravens. Karasu. Photographs by Masahisa Fukase. Rat Hole Gallery, 2008. 136 pp. Large quarto. Limited edition of 1000 copies. Clothbound. No jacket as issued. Card slipcase. Black and white reproductions. A stunning limited edition reprint of this now classic title. Now quite scarce. In her afterword, Akira Hasegawa writes: "The depth of solitude in Masahisa Fukase's photographs makes me shudder". One can see what she means. It is a darkly fascinating and obsessive work that lodges in the mind. Fukase's images are grainy, dark and impressionistic. Often, he magnifies his negatives or overexposes them, aiming all the time for mood over technical refinement. He photographs flocks from a distance, and single birds that appear like black silhouettes against grey, wintry skies. They are captured in flight, blurred and ominous, and at rest, perching on telegraph wires, trees, fences and chimneys. Fukase photographs them alive and dead, and maps their shadows in harsh sunlight and their tracks in the snow. Although the visual narrative is punctuated by other mysterious images - a nude, fleshy masseuse, a malevolent-looking cat, windswept girls peering over a boat rail, a homeless man drinking in what looks like a municipal rubbish tip - it is the ravens that obsess Fukase. His vision is so stark, so relentlessly monochrome, that you cannot help but wonder what kind of hold they had on his imagination … [Click Below for Full Description]

This is the book that made "metaverse" and "avatar" every-day words. An essential piece of Science Fiction, this book was part of a special release that sold out on pre-orders alone. I was one of the lucky ones that was able to pre-order, and after sitting in my collection for years, it can be yours in as new condition. David Rankine, Stephen Skinner
Golden Hoard Press, 2008. Condition: Like New. Very good. This is the extremely rare Author's Edition of The Veritable Key Of Solomon, specially bound in full Water-Buffalo hide, by the Sultan's own bookbinder. Only 25 numbered copies were produced, and they were not offered for sale on the Golden Hoard website. Rather they were privately offered, and were much more expensive than other Golden Hoard deluxe editions. The quality of the binding is quite exceptional, making this one of the most impressive editions of this grimoire. There are 3 different texts, from those translated by S. L. MacGregor Mathers. Three different "Keys of Solomon", including: The Keys of Rabbi Solomon (Key 1); The Little Key of Solomon, King of the Hebrews (Key 2); and the Universal Treatise of the Keys of Solomon (Key 3). The seals, sigils, talismans, tables, etc, have been magnified, and given the attention they need - so this is a massive work, stretching over 446 pages, with numerous full page illustrations, and other illustrations are large, so you can see them in detail, rather than trying to decipher tiny thumbnail sized images. There are also valuable appendices at the back, including a comprehensive bibliography, and an excellent introduction. This was limited to 25 numbered copies, and was signed by the editors, David Rankine & Stephen Skinner; and hand-numbered #4 of 25. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy]

Old format, modern images. A universal ancient subject yet seen through my, I hope, unusual personal prism." (Alvin Booth in an interview with sarah Baxter, EYEMAZING, 04-2008) Peepholes "(...) The concise and intimate nature of the Peepholes was intended to invite the viewer to step into an erotic tableau and become a voyeur, and to feel what it is like to be a naughty observer squinting through the keyhole at the bedroom door. The male member seems to have been alienated from the body and the person to whom it belongs, and transformed into an engine of sexual performance, a symbol of rampant masculinity, a device tuned and enlarged at will. This is 1 of 100 Amazon 2008 Black Friday giveaway versions of the Beedle the Bard Collector's Edition signed by JK Rowling. The title page of the book includes the author's signature, an authenticity hologram, and the 95/100 designation. I am reluctantly parting with this after more than 10 years of proud ownership. The book and all items have been handled no more than 5 times, and the book has never been opened beyond the signature page. Every item pictured is mint. If you are interested, I will include the original Amazon shipping packaging and invoice. Please, serious inquiries only! Please contact me for any additional shipping options. Thank you!
