Valentino Garavani. Una grande storia italiana

Taschen, 2007. Inbunden bok. Limiterad utgåva. SIGNERAD AV VALENTINO GARAVANI. 54,4x43,8cm. 13240 gram. Förlagets beskrivning: Think Valentino: think luxury. Think elegance. Think red carpet. Fashion?s most beloved upholder of refined decadence and the most exciting couturier in business is known around the globe simply by his first name. Only a few years after opening his fashion house in Rome in 1959, Valentino was already at the height of success, counting Elizabeth Taylor, Jacky Kennedy, and Audrey Hepburn among his devotees. Over forty years later, not much has changed ? he?s still dressing the top celebrities, from Gwyneth Paltrow to J.Lo, though now his business is a major economic force in Italy and his fashion house is among the most famous in the world. Valentino has always designed clothes for glamorous and sophisticated women, never wavering from his signature style even when grunge, deconstruction and other passing fads were all the rage. Though his couture division almost never makes a profit (his ready-to-wear lines are what fuel the business), his heart is most solidly devoted to the magnificent haute couture gowns that earned him his reputation as fashion?s most talented dressmaker. This luxurious limited-edition publication renders homage to Valentino?s illustrious career via a copious selection of images from his archives, including drawings, magazine shoots, advertisements, portraits of Valentino, and documentary photographs; presented chronologically, the visual material is accompanied by a vast array of newspaper and magazine articles about Valentino throughout the years. Text also includes Vanity Fair writer Matt Tyrnauer?s interviews with twenty of Valentino?s closest collaborators and friends as well as an appreciation of Valentino by International Herald Tribune?s fashion writer Suzy Menkes. All of these elements add up to an in-depth look at the man, his lifestyle, and his genius?a book more comprehensive and stunning than one could hardly dare to dream of. After all, what could be a more fitting tribute to the work of Valentino than a book as beautiful and luxurious as one of his gowns? Collector?s Edition (No. 101?2,100). Limited to 2,000 numbered copies, each numbered and signed by Valentino Garavani. Finished in setalux book cloth with six-color silkscreen printing. Comes in a clamshell box finished in silk cloth, especially tinted in Valentino red .

Die neuen Tendenzen eine europäische Künstlerbewegung 1961 - 1973

Heidelberg: Edition Braus, 2007. Hardcover. VG- but art school ex-lib. with usual marks.. Bw illus. boards with white lettering on bw spine. [323] with illus. throughout in color and bw. No dust jacket. A bit heavy and may require extra postage, depending upon your location. Please inquire. Subtitle: zur Ausstellung Die Neuen Tendenzen. eine Europäische Künstlerbewegung 1961 - 1973 ; eine Ausstellung des Museums für Konkrete Kunst Ingolstadt, 29. September 2006 bis 7. Januar 2007 ; Leopold-Hoesch-Museum, Düren, 28. Januar bis 25. März 2007. The project international maps the plurality of art directions represented through exhibitions, symposiums and publications which were held under the terms of the New Tendencies, the New Tendency and the Tendencies [hereafter jointly as NT], in Zagreb and in other centres and locations for presentations, from 1961 to 1973, taking NT as a dynamic international network and a stage for different but unarguably advanced artistic theories and practices of the 1960s in the Contemporary Art Gallery [what is today the Contemporary Art Museum, Zagreb], within the City of Zagreb Galleries, which organized five NT exhibitions in Zagreb from 1961 to 1973, while major exhibitions were also held in Paris, Venice and Leverkusen. A joint exhibition of European artists in 1961 grew into an international movement that would be referred to as the NT, also significant for gathering artists, gallery owners and theoreticians during the Cold War, first from Eastern and Western Europe [and dissidents from South America], and, from 1965 onwards, also those from USA, the Soviet Union and South America, and subsequently from Africa and Asia. Such a unique situation was realized by the cultural and geo-political position of Zagreb, in the then socialist and unaligned Yugoslavia. - oris.hr Text in German with English at back.

Johannes Hofmann, geb. 1960, ist evangelischer Diakon und Jugendseelsorger. Mit Beiträgen von Anapliotis, Anargyros/Böttigheimer, Christoph/Dietz, Walter/Haering, Stephan/Hainthaler, Theresia/Hofmann, Johannes/Hünermann, Peter/Ivanov, Vladimir/Kühn, Ulrich/Maier, Konstantin/Meyer, Harding/Nikolakopoulos, Konstantin/Turii, Oleh/Vletsis, Athanasios/Wehr, Lothar/Weiß, Andreas Geisteswissenschaften Religion Theologie Christentum Theologe Christentum Christent

Die neuen Tendenzen eine europäische Künstlerbewegung 1961 - 1973

Subtitle: zur Ausstellung Die Neuen Tendenzen. eine Europäische Künstlerbewegung 1961 - 1973 ; eine Ausstellung des Museums für Konkrete Kunst Ingolstadt, 29. September 2006 bis 7. Januar 2007 ; Leopold-Hoesch-Museum, Düren, 28. Januar bis 25. März 2007.The project international maps the plurality of art directions represented through exhibitions, symposiums and publications which were held under the terms of the New Tendencies, the New Tendency and the Tendencies [hereafter jointly as NT], in Zagreb and in other centres and locations for presentations, from 1961 to 1973, taking NT as a dynamic international network and a stage for different but unarguably advanced artistic theories and practices of the 1960s in the Contemporary Art Gallery [what is today the Contemporary Art Museum, Zagreb], within the City of Zagreb Galleries, which organized five NT exhibitions in Zagreb from 1961 to 1973, while major exhibitions were also held in Paris, Venice and Leverkusen. VG- but art school ex-lib. with usual marks.
