Manuscript in Jerry Seinfeld's hand for the episode "The Pez Dispenser" [Season 3, Episode 14; series episode 30; air date January 15, 1992]

      - 42 pp rectos only. Legal Folio. Full Draft for "The Pez Dispenser" Episode in Jerry Seinfeld's Hand. The hand-written script by Seinfeld is for the beloved "Pez Dispenser" episode, in which Elaine ruins the piano concert of George's girlfriend by bursting into laughter when Jerry places a Pez dispenser in her lap. It is also the episode in which Kramer joins the polar bear club, creates a brand of cologne called "The Beach" and everyone participates in an intervention for a former softball team-mate who was traumatized by Kramer's suggestion during their final game. Although the writing of the episode is credited to both Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, this is an early (first?) draft attempt by Seinfeld. It includes substantial amounts of dialogue that were omitted in subsequent drafts. There are also many revisions, crossing outs, insertions and the like - all typical of a working draft and all in Seinfled's hand. The episode aired on January 15, 1992. Seinfeld is routinely regarded as one of the best television series ever produced. During its first run it was awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Comendy series in 1993, it received the Golden Globe Award for Best TV-series (comedy) in 1994 and in 1995, in 1997 and 1998 it won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Since it finished production, TV Guide awarded it the greatest TV show of all time in both 2002 and 2013. Original Seinfeld material is scarce on the open market. Furthermore, we have not been able to locate any manuscript drafts such as this in either Seinfeld or Larry David's hand. On yellow ruled legal folio, corrections throughout, paginated in pen and again in black marker 1-42 at upper left with insertions on verso of three sheets, bound with paperclips into four groups, horizontal folding crease at center, some wrinkling

        SNOW CRASH.

New York, Toronto, London, Sydney, Auckland: Bantam Books, [1992] - Octavo, cloth-backed boards. First edition. "The pizza-delivery-man hero also leads another existence in the 'metaverse,' a virtual reality where he must use his hacker skills to fight a deadly new computer virus. Stephenson's first SF novel (he had previously written a couple of environmentalist thrillers), and something of a trendy cult book." - Pringle, The Ultimate Guide to Science Fiction, second edition (1995), p. 332. "The action, and there's a lot of noisy action, is powered by a conspiracy involving a Secret History of the last 4000 years, the Tower of Babel, a cult predating the Babylonians, and mush else . Knowing and acerbic, a dazzling hyperkinetic dance down the mean streets of cyberspace and back up again into the sunlight." - Paul McAuley, Interzone. Anatomy of Wonder (2004) II-1077.       N. p. o. d. - 4to. 1 p. With original ink drawing. To his friend Pierre Berès: "Je suis surpris d'être sans nouvelles de vous depuis assez longtemps [.]". Balthus's drawing depicts the church of the small village of Moutonne (near Orgelet, Franche-Comté). In the foreground, the artist draws the "castle" of the same village - in fact, a massive stone building. The present letter was exhibited from July to September 1992 at the Balthus exhibition at the birthplace of Gustave Courbet.

Vlgs.-Anz., 1 (w). - "In summary, let me add that The Equinox was the first serious attempt to put before the public the facts of occult science, so-called, since Blavatsky's unscholarly hotch-poch of fact and fable, Isis Unveiled. It was the first attempt in history to treat the subject with scholarship and from the standpoint of science. No previous book of its kind can compare with it for the perfection of its poetry and prose; the dignity and sublimity of its style, and the rigidity of its rule never to make any statement which could not be proved as precisely as the mathematician exacts. I confess to being entirely proud of having inaugurated an epoch. From the moment of its appearance, it imposed its standards of sincerity, scholarship, scientific seriousness and aristocracy of all kinds, from the excellence of its English to the perfection of its printing, upon everyone with ambition to enter this field of literature. It did not command a large public, but its influence has been enormous. It is recognized as the standard publication of its kind, as encyclopedia without "equal, son, or companion". It has been quoted, copied and imitated everywhere. Innumerable cults have been founded by charlatans on its information. Its influence has changed the whole current of thought of students all over the world. Its inveterate enemies are not only unable to ignore it, but submit themselves to its sovereignty. It was thus entirely successful from my personal point of view. I had put a pearl of great price in a shop window, whose other exhibits were pasted diamonds and bits of coloured glass for the most part, and at best, precious stones of the cheaper and commoner kind. From the moment of its appearance, everyone had to admit - for the most part with hatred and envy in their hearts - that the sun had appeared in the slum and put to shame the dips and kerosene lamps which had lighted it till then. It was no longer possible to carry on hole-in-the-corner charlatanism as heretofore." [Crowley in "Confessions"].- Clean and almost as good as new copies of the very rare complete series. / Nahezu neuwertige Exemplare. [Attributes: Hard Cover]

SEIZE THE MOMENT: America's Challenge in a One-Superpower World

New York:: Simon & Schuster. (1992).. First edition of his critically praised assessment of American foreign policy. The book is SIGNED by Nixon and has a laid-in TYPED LETTER INITIALED by Nixon that also has his HOLOGRAPH SALUTATION. The letter, to The Honorable Richard Lyng, is on Nixon's personal engraved letterhead from his Woodcliff Lake NJ address, measures 6.75 x 9" and is dated December 23, 1991: "Dear Dick [written in Nixon's hand], I thought you might be interested in seeing some unconventional wisdom on foreign and domestic issues. Best wishes for the New Year." Lyng (1918-2003) oversaw the government's food programs as an Assistant Secretary of Agriculture under Nixon from 1969 to 1973 and was Ronald Reagan's Agriculture Secretary from 1986 to 1989. Nixon (1913-1994) was, of course, the only President to have resigned from office due to scandal. In later years, however, he traveled extensively to meet with foreign leaders, wrote, and took speaking engagements. In 1986, he journeyed to the Soviet Union, after which he shared his foreign policy suggestions and impressions of Mikhail Gorbachev with Reagan. Following that trip, Nixon was ranked in a Gallup poll as one of the ten most admired men in the world and Newsweek Magazine ran a story on "Nixon's comeback" with the headline "He's back." The Nixon Center he founded in 1991 is now the Center for the National Interest, a non-partisan public policy institution. (Wikipedia). Apparently there really are second acts in American lives. The book is fine in fine dust jacket; the letter is fine with light crease where folded. .
