Stephen King
Condition: Like New. Near fine/Near fine. First Edition with all the requisite first printing points: stated first edition on the copyright page, T.S. 8.95 on the front flap, R49 on page 447. This is a near fine book in a near fine dust jacket; the book shows shelf wear to the bottom spine end with a mild crimp and some minor rubbing to the top spine end and binding; housed in a near fine jacket that shows some mild rubbing to the spine ends and corners and some minor toning to the back cover and inside flaps...otherwise, a clean, bright, tight copy of this SK masterpiece. Hard to find in this nice collectible condition...protected in a mylar cover and shipped in a sturdy box. The Overlook Hotel claimed the most beautiful physical setting of any resort in the world; but Jack Torrance, the new winter caretaker, his wife Wendy, and their five-year-old son Danny saw much more than its splendor. Jack saw the Overlook as an opportunity, a desperate way back from failure and despair; Wendy say this lonely sanctuary as a frail chance to preserve their family; and Danny? . . . Danny, who was blessed or cursed with a shining, precognitive gift, saw visions hideously beyond the comprehension of a small boy. He sensed the evil coiled within the Overlook's one hundred and ten empty rooms; an evil that was waiting just for them. THE SHINING is a classic work of horror fiction from Stephen King, the undisputed master of the genre. (-book jacket). [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]

Ollie Johnston
New York: Stewart, Tabori & Chang 1990. Condition: ___ The main volume, BAMBI, is in absolutely pristine condition with no flaws that we can detect, including being free of prior owner markings. 4to - over 9" - 12" tall. 208 p. Signed by Author(s). Both the book and the companion flip book are signed by animators Ollie Johnston, Frank Thomas, Marc Davis, and Maurice Noble. Johnston, Thomas, and Davis were there of Walt Disneys' Nine Old Men, and Marc Davis developed and animated the characters of Bambi and Thumper. Maurice Noble was with Disney Studios for the early part of his career and worked on the development of the Bambi film. Who amongst us has not either read the book by Felix Salten, published in the 1920s, or seen the film done in 1942? As the authors wrote, "From the start, 'Bambi' was a very different picture. It had a fantasy and reality all its own, separate from Walt Disney's other films. This was no imaginary forest that one could enter and leave at will. Whoever ventured in became part of an experience so strong that neither heart nor mind could ever forget its impact". This book bridges the worlds between the book and the film, and invite us into the world in which the authors and animators worked and lived every day: how to bring the magic of the book and the story onto the big screen. Apparently Walt Disney himself envisioned such a book, for the authors dedicated the book to him with the following words: "We dedicate this book to Walt Disney, who asked for it fifty years ago....Sorry, Walt - you always said we were slow". We are offering this set togeth … [Click Below for Full Description]

Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer
Japan: A.D.A. Edita Tokyo Co., Ltd, 1990. In the course of his 70 years career, Frank lloyd Wright continues to influence modern and contemporary architectural design. This 12 volume series of monographs presents all of realized buildings as well as unrealized projects, a collection of over 1,000 works, in what is surely the most definitive series of books on Wright the twenty years of experience photographing Wright's architecture. Volume 1~8 combines photographs and original drawings in a visually dynamic format, defining the most complete monograph of his work to date. Volume 9~12 are selection of preliminary studies, examining the design process of his most famous works. These 12 volumes presents 200 examples of Mr. Wright's highly expressive architectural renderings. These are in great condition. Since they've come into my possession, they've never left the cardboard covers. The covers are in varying levels of degradation. Namely, fading from UV exposure. As far as the books themselves. They are practically new.

1990. Mint Condition. The Equinox V, #1 Commentaries of AL Aleister Crowley Marcelo Motta Uber Rare Aust Ed Copy SOTO RARE The Equinox Vol. V, No. 1 The Commentaries of AL by Aleister Crowley, Marelo Motta, et al Published by Thelema Publishing Company, Canberra, Australia, 1990 Second Edition Mint Cond. Equinox Vol. V, No. 1. Published by Thelema Publishing Company, Canberra, Australia, in 1990. This is the uber rare 2nd Edition, published in Australia in 1990. Although I am not certain of how many copies were printed, the number was very limited, and these copies are very scarce, sought after, and hard to find. This is certainly much rarer than the 1975 US (or UK) 1st editions, which had red cloth, and has more pages (458 pages + 20 odd preliminary pages). The Editorial is very interesting reading, especially the "Rogue's Gallery", which names not only former Motta members, but also key Thelemites in Australia. This edition came out a few years after the court case in the US, where the Caliphate OTO won the case against Motta, and gained legitimacy in the US, as rightful heir to Crowley, and sole copyright holder to his works, and to the OTO title, rituals and insignias. After this, Motta and SOTO were unable to publish Crowley works, but this volume was published in Australia by SOTO Australia. This is a very rare and sought after volume, and will make a very valuable addition to any Thelemic library, or a private collection. Do not miss out! Use the Buy It Now option, before someone else does! WORLDWIDE SHIPPING US Customers please NOTE: No $6 shipping is available(if I … [Click Below for Full Description]

PLEASE SEE FULL DESCRIPTION & PHOTOS. HEMINGWAY, ERNEST. The Sun Also Rises. A Facsimile of the Original Manuscript. Edited by Matthew J. Bruccoli. Detroit: Omnigraphics, 1990. First Edition. Printed in the small edition of 712 copies. Two large folio volumes. 700 pages. As new full blue gilt-stamped original publisher's cloth without dust jackets as issued. This book publishes for the very first and only time Hemingway's original autograph manuscript photographed page by page in full facsimile for his classic novel, The Sun Also Rises . Written clearly in a series of French and Spanish student notebooks, this superb facsimile allows one to easily read the novel and contains thousands of unpublished words and sections that were deleted from the final published book, and an amazing deleted introduction explaining the "Lost Generation." Intended for libraries, relatively few sets went into collector's hands, and is now one of the more difficult Hemingway first editions to obtain. Essential for any Hemingway collection. Poestenkill, NY: Kaldewey Press, 1990. Tall folio. (32)pp. From an edition of 55, this is one of twenty deluxe copies. Illustrated with ten paper pulp images of Jewish symbols, such as the Star of David, the Torah pointer, and the shofar. The text of the Song of Songs is printed in the original Hebrew using Frank-Ruehl Hebrew type. Typical of Kaldewey's work, the text is arranged freely on the page to complement the images. The chapter numbers are printed in dark purple, which complements the yellow, violet, green, and turquoise used in the illustrations. The English translation is printed in red on architect's vellum--a slick contrast to the textured handmade paper on which the Hebrew is printed. This deluxe edition is bound by Christian Zwang of Hamburg in red painted leather, with a title plaque made of etched sterling silver. Housed in a gray cloth box, gilt-titled to spine. Very fine. (Edition Kaldewey 16).
