        FAR SIDE OF THE DOLLAR.|THE

Columbia, SC and Bloomfield, MI: Bruccoli Clark, 1982. 4to. quarter leather, patterned paper-covered boards, spine gilt-stamped. (x), 194 pages. Limited to 221 numbered copies. This is a unnumbered copy, marked "Out of Series" and "Review Copy" on colophon. With a leaf of the author's revised typescript. Appendix with the final manuscript chapter, not in the original novel published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1965. According to the publisher, "The printer spoiled the copies, and I destroyed them. I decided not to start over because by that time Ken (i.e. Russ Macdonald) was unable to sign copies." The book was thus never issued and only a handful of unnumbered review copies exist. Publisher's advertisement laid in. Covers slightly rubbed and scuffed at edges. Gilt stamping on spine faded.

NY: Alfred A. Knopf, 1982. 8vo. xi(i),876,(iv)pp. Black cloth spine, dark gray paper over boards, both blocked in copper foil. Elfrida and Walter of Greenwalls were the seneschals and the autocrats..." This copy is signed on the title page, not on a plate or slip of paper pasted in.         Ex-Convict (Signed First Edition)

N.p.: David Allen Coe, 1982. First Edition. First Edition. Near Fine in trade wrappers as issued. SIGNED by David Allen Coe on the front wrapper. The maverick country singer's primitively printed autobiography, detailing his time in 11 different correctional institutions--from juvenile detention centers to prison--beginning at age 9, followed by a career as something of a renegade country singer. Coe's biggest single was "Take This Job and Shove It" in the 1970s, but his career as an underground hero among truck drivers, criminals, and outcasts of every variety is a good bit more interesting. Near Fine in perfect bound photo illustrated wrappers.

Michel Foucault - Abattoir. Photographies Originales

Par l'auteur. Diptych original photographic portraits in black and white made and drawn by Marc Trivier. The two photographs, taken facing are: - An original photographic portrait of Michel Foucault in Paris in 1984 - An original photograph taken viscera cow in a slaughterhouse in 1982 Portrait artist, anonymous, crazy,.. slaughterhouse or tree: Marc Trivier photographed each subject with the same interrogative intensity. All made in the same square, elementary and closed without editing or cropping format photographs seem less staging a subject - famous or unknown, elected or deposed, living or dead - interrogate a presence. "What interested me was not just photographing a body or face, but this particular situation is someone doing the photo of someone else." By comparing portraits artists in their corresponding altered Trivier undresses the work of its effects and reveals the enigmatic photographic nude body. "In his cosmogony, every thing, every being, plant, animal or human, deserves the same respect for they are all facing the same iron law. Solitude." (Luke Desbenoit in Télérama, 05/03/2011 on the occasion of the retrospective Marc Trivier at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie). Silver prints unsigned, like most works of Trivier. Unique tests taken by the artist. Tear one centimeter in top margin, small marginal stains without damage to photograph two imperceptible scratches on the photo of Foucault, some scratches and small spots on the photo of viscera.
