FARREL Joseph and Georges Carel
De L'Imprimerie DEFI Perpegnan, 1982. Before being able to freely express his ferocious universe, in Perfumes of Suffering and Humiliations , Joseph Farrel drew for more than ten years, most often under the pseudonym of Angelo, cruel and intense scenes that no publisher wanted - nor could not - publish. The Rendez-vous de Sodomal and Couleur sang bring together the two longest series of drawings signed by Angelo. But there were other unpublished drawings which did not always constitute a coherent series or, above all, which had been self-censored because of their suggestive power. These prohibited drawings, here they are. Even when the sets remain unfinished, even when their conservation has been difficult, they still express with force the dark humor of Farrel, and his biting vision, vaguely desperate, of our society. In the text of Rendez-vous de Sodomal , Robert Mérodack had brought out the phantasmal and fantastic aspect of the Angelo-Farrel universe. Here, he is closer to the texts written by Farrel himself in Perfumes of Suffering and Humiliations , and thus underlines the derisory and the outrageous of what the scandalous newspapers treat from a moralizing angle. Because it is not worth veiling our face. Joseph Farrel's work has scandalized, it scandalizes and will scandalize again for a long time. But it contains nothing more than what the gazettes tell us every day. And he does it with talent. 5 small in-4 Italian volumes. Not paginated. Publication circa 1982-1985. Erotic stories and illustrations). 1. SUPPLICES ET PLAISIRS: Curiously, the work was condemned on Ju … [Click Below for Full Description]

Graz, ADEVA, 1982-84. 222 Seiten. 166 dramatisch-aufregende Grisaille-Miniaturen. Faksimile + Kommentar. Goldgeprägter Ledereinband in Schuber. Limitierte Auflage: 980 Exemplare. Neuwertiges und unbenutztes Exemplar. Originalausgabe! 1982. Condition: Very Good. AUTHOR : PHILIP K. DICK TITLE : THE TRANSMIGRATION OF TIMOTHY ARCHER Publisher : Timescape / Simon and Schuster, 1982 These are the author's galleys of the first edition of this excellent novel by Philip K. Dick, which is the last one that he completed before his death in March 1982. The novel was published two months later, in May 1982. The unbound sheets measure 8.5" x 14" and have been folded in half. Twenty sheets are missing, perhaps because the author made corrections and then mailed them back to the publisher. Included are the letter from the publisher to the author and the original mailing envelope. Accompanying these galleys is the carbon copy of a two-page typed letter from Dick to Russell Galen, his agent at the Scott Meredith Literary Agency. This letter does not appear in The Selected Letters of Philip K. Dick. Because this is the copy that Dick retained for his files, the letter is not signed. In the letter, Dick lists multiple corrections to be made to his manuscript. I have not attempted to confirm whether the corrections enumerated by Dick in his letter correspond to the missing galley sheets because I did not want to handle the galleys to the degree necessary. It may be that the corrections refer to the page numbers of the manuscript rather than of these galleys. Also included is the sender's copy of the Express Mail shipping label used to send the selected pages for the corrections to Galen, which Dick retained together with his copy of the cover letter. The shipping label has been printed in Dick's hand. If you have any questi … [Click Below for Full Description]

Stephen King
1982. Stephen King - The Plant x 3 Original Chapbook Proofs Set in Mint Condition Designed by Michael Alpert. Published by Philtrum Press This unsigned proof set is in Fine collectable condition and is housed in a slipcase for protection. All three have been designated "Designer's Proof" by Michael Alpert. King wrote a few parts of a story by the same name and sent them out as chapbooks to his friends, instead of Christmas cards, in 1982, 1983, and 1985. Philtrum Press produced just three instalments before the story was shelved, and the original editions have been hotly sought-after collector's items. In lieu of Christmas cards (King felt them to be insincere) King's private press Philtrum published this tale told in epistolary form and sent them to recipients on King's Christmas list. After the third installment, King felt the story too closely resembled Little Shop of Horrors and halted the production. The story, told in epistolary format consisting entirely of letters, memos and correspondence, is about an editor in a paperback publishing house who gets a manuscript from what appears to be a crackpot. The manuscript is about magic, but it also contains photographs that seem very real. The editor writes the author a rejection slip, but because of the photographs, he also informs the police where the author lives. This enrages the author, who sends a mysterious plant to the editor's office. Packaging will be to the highest standard. Will ship worldwide. Contact me for shipping. [Attributes: First Edition]

Signed and inscribed by the author to his then-director of sales and marketing at Viking, Connie Sarpe two weeks before publication date: "For Connie - with good wishes and thanks for all your hard work - Stephen King 8/13/82". The book was officially published on 27 August 1982. Condition: the book is near fine with just a little disolouration on the page block. 1982. Patel Philippe Geneve Book By Martin Huber And Alan Banbery. Condition is Like New. Limited edition No 18 of 21 The book begins with the origins and history of the company, biographies of the company's founders, details of Patek Philippe's inventions & patents, as well as an in depth look at the watchmaker's most important and complicated pocket watches. The remaining 187 pages are devoted to lavish illustrations in both colour and black and white showing the extraordinary variety and, of course, outstanding quality of this famous watchmaker. Many of the pieces are from the company's museum, others are from private hands - some of which have, since publication in 1982, been purchased for the museum. This book concentrates on the company's pocket watch production, however, there is a small wristwatch section at the back of the book. The book also includes the list of movement numbers used by the company between 1839 and 1971, with corresponding years of production and calibre numbers. Many of the most important pocket watches made by Patek Philippe are illustrated in detail, including, cases, dials and movements - the highlight being the famous Henry Graves 'Supercomplication' that was sold at Sotheby's in 2014 for US$ 24 million. A companion book dedicated to wristwatches, also by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery was first published in 1988. An absolutely essential book for anyone with a passion for watches. Hardback book with red cloth covers and original dust jacket, Please look at my other horological books. Dispatched with Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class.

NAIPAUL, V.S.
New York Albert A. Knopf, 1982. First edition, first impression; 8vo (240 x 170 mm); presentation copy, signed 'V.S Naipaul, 21 September 1987 for Al Murray'; publisher's quarter green cloth beige boards, titles to upper board in bronze and white and to spine in bronze, dust jacket, sunned, slightly worn and with a water-stain to the spine panel, otherwise a very good copy. a presentation copy to American jazz critic Albert Murray A very nice copy in the dust jacket of the omnibus edition of Naipaul's first three novels, which unlike his later, darker works are an amusing and comic portrayal of life in the Caribbean. Naipaul recalls in A Turn in the South, 'I was given the name of a writer who had been educated at Tuskegee, Al Murray. He was, or had been, a protégé of Ralph Ellison. His sitting room was full of books and records.the books were a serious collection of twentieth-century American writing in first or very early editions.' Al Murray would later say, 'Naipaul is like a satellite in orbit. He's got an objectivity that no one else has, and he knows that the past is an albatross.' Inscribed, literary association copies of Naipaul's works are distinctly uncommon. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
