Charles Bukowski
Fine. This is one of only five Presentation Copies of this title and very early for Black Sparrow Press. This is a major bibliography of Bukowski's work that he was helpful to Dorbin in compiling. The advantage of Presentation copies is the best works of art by Bukowski were generally tipped into the special copies like this. In fact almost all of the value of this item is the original Bukowski painting and not the book. One, stand alone work of art by Bukowski sold at auction in 2011 (including the buyer's premium) for $10,000. So this one is mostly about the art. Besides that the book is 93 pages. Also included is a promo for this title. Published in 1969 by the Black Sparrow Press. In fine condition, the book and the artwork. International shipping costs so much because of the necessary tracking which is only available with Priority Express. [Attributes: First Edition]

KLOSSOWSKI Pierre (BEJART Maurice)
[Click Below for Full Description]

Simone SIGNORET
Similar to MacLise's renaming of the days in the earlier 'Year' , 'The Universal Solar Calendar' renames the days of the year, but in this format prints the phrases in his characteristic calligraphic hand, producing a full artwork that actually seems to take itself a bit more seriously than most of the multiples produced by Macianus at the time. [Click Below for Full Description]

BEJART Maurice
[Click Below for Full Description]

BEJART Maurice
1969. Fine. 1969, 16,8x21,6cm, carnet en spirales. - Handwritten personal diary Personal diary handwritten by Maurice Béjart, written in a 1969 diary celebrating the centenary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi. 52 handwritten leaves, written in red and blue pen in a spiral-bound notebook. This diary features amongst Béjart's very rare, privately owned manuscripts, the choreographer's archives being shared between his house in Brussels, the Béjart foundation in Lausanne and the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie. The choreographer Maurice Béjart's diary written during the year 1969. An extremely rare collection of thoughts, questions and introspections from the point of view of Hinduism and Buddhist wisdom, which Béjart adopts following his first trip to India in 1967. The diary is an emblematic testimony of the indo-hippie era of the 1960s, spiritual and artistic renaissance that inspired numerous ballets of the choreographer (Messe pour le temps présent, Bhakti, Les Vainqueurs). A selection from this diary was published by Maurice Béjart in the second volume of his memoirs (La Vie de Qui ? Flammarion, 1996). During the year 1969, Béjart wrote daily notes in a diary published in memory of Mahatma Gandhi. Fascinated by Hindu mysticism since his trip to India in 1967, he filled in this spiritual journal with numerous mantras and prayers (""Krishna guide my chariot, the light is at the end of the path. OM""; ""Buddha is everywhere""; ""Let God enter, but how to open the door?"") and he calls upon the Hindu deities as well as the Bodhisattvas Mañju?r? et T?r? - soothing figures of the … [Click Below for Full Description]
