        The Spy Who Loved Me

London: Jonathan Cape,, 1962. Octavo. Original dark grey boards, titles to spine in silver, dagger design to front board in silver and blind, red endpapers. With the dust jacket. Double-page spread illustration pp. 6–7. Ownership inscription to front free endpaper, slightly erased. Minor mottling to boards, negligible rubbing to spine ends, faint foxing to edges; an excellent copy in the jacket with a little creasing to top edges, very light soiling to rear panel. First edition, first impression. This novel is the only Bond book to be written in the first person, presented as the testimony of a 23-year-old Canadian woman with whom Bond has an ill-fated affair. In furtherance of this pretence, Vivienne Michel gets a spurious credit on the title page as co-author.

        Red Flower Ball (3D)

      - offset lithograph, signed and numbered from the edition of 300, Publisher Kaikai Kiki Ltd., Tokyo. Takashi Murakami is a Japanese artist combining the fine and the commercial art worlds. Often categorized alongside artists working within the tradition of Pop Art, such as Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, and Jeff Koons, Murakami's work has achieved a widespread level of fame beyond the art world. His innovative "Superflat" aesthetic—combining classical Japanese art with contemporary Japanese pop culture—has made him one of the most innovative artists working today. He continues to explore the links between traditional printmaking and Japanese styles of comics in post-war society in his highly graphic, vibrantly colored works. Despite its outward playfulness, Murakami's art acts as a cultural critique with subversive undertones hidden in its imagery. Born on February 1, 1962 in Tokyo, Japan, where he currently lives and works, Murakami has embraced commerce through the founding Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd., an artist management agency and studio. With his popular collaboration with the fashion label Louis Vuitton, Murakami has established himself as a pioneer of promoting art as a brand. His work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions around the world, include those held at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, Gagosian Gallery in London, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, and the Versailles Palace.         Yam Festival Newspaper.

Yam Festival Press., Metuchen, NJ. 1962 - This copy inscribed by George Brecht in blue pen at the head of the newspaper: ÒH.J.D.: We would like to advertise Kalenderrolle in our 2nd issue. Is there anything special you would like us to say? George BrechtÓ. Edited and published by Brecht and Watts on the occasion of the Yam Festival Press, Metuchen, New Jersey, held at end of 1962, beginning of '63. Contains the text "Mirrors" by Kaprow, poems by Wakoski and Bloedow, advertisements for "An Anthology", for the Yamfest sign shop, BrechtÕs flags, etc. With a hole punched at the top of the sheet, as usual. ÕLike other Fluxus artists, Brecht and Watts relished the opportunity to publicise their activities. In the case of Yam Festival, a yearlong festival of exhibitions and performances that took place in New Jersey and New York, they did so widely and ingeniously. Yam Festival Newspaper represents one such effort. Instead of presenting information in a straightforward manner, however, the artists create an unruly collage of verbal and visual elements. Newspaper includes everything from poems, event scores, and advertisements for Fluxus-related publications to quotations, glossaries, "wanted" ads, crossword puzzles, and notices for drawing contests. Only some of this material is genuine; much of it is fictionalÕ. (From Princeton Art Museum website). Unfolded, (74 x 15.3 cm). Offset printing, black ink on pink paper stock, printed both sides.

Drysdale and Marshall's great journey through the Australian outback is dotted with a variety of unique characters, each with a particularly dry Australian sense of humour.
