El texto que podemos apreciar en esta publicación, es esencialmente los fundamentos de su estética. El Maestro detalla el significado de sus ideas, las fundamenta en detalle, y de alguna manera permite apreciar que el Arte Todo nos es una manifestación subjetiva y desordenada del impulso creador descontrolado y sin rumbo. Obliga a reflexionar sobre las especificidades de cada orientación artística. La mirada creativa debe tener un conocimiento de los recursos estrictamente estéticos, y tenerlos en cuenta a la hora de efectuar una obra. El cuerpo de la revista contiene: Dieciséis (16) carillas en tipografía manuscrita, con dibujos sintéticos integrados al texto. Veintidós (22) láminas de fotos de murales, y diez (10) cuadros de pintura naturalista hechos por integrantes del Taller Torres García. Casi todas las ilustraciones de los cuadros y de los murales están en blanco y negro. El ejemplar tiene sobre el tema central " La regla Abstracta" dos traducciones al francés y al español. Hoja titulada " Advertencia" Parece ser un agregado luego de terminada la impresión de esta publicación. No está integrada en la encuadernación del ejemplar; parece pegada, impresa en otro papel, y son palabras del propio artista. Abril 1946. El contenido de "Advertencia" resume la actitud de Torre García frente a un medio cultural uruguayo que no tuvo en los primeros años de su regreso, una comprensión positiva. Esta situación adversa, hizo que Torres tuviera una respuesta paradojal ya que, ante ciertas actitudes de adversidad, él tomó más fuerza y entusiasmo, convirtiéndose en el Primer Maestro de la Escuela Constructivista del Uruguay. En dicha Escuela enseñó no solo las claves del Arte Constructivo, sino que también explicó porqué la Pintura Real o Naturalista, era resultado de un proceso de abstracción de la realidad, que debe ser interpretada con elementos plásticos y no ser - por ende - una copia estrictamente imitativa. En esta página, el artista además agrega y reclama la necesidad del estudio de las Culturas de las tres Américas como parte de una verdadera tradición. El destaca en otras obras escritas las coincidencias del Arte Indígena Americano como uno de los ejemplos más evidentes de lo que es para él Arte Constructivo en aras de un Arte Universal. The image is reproduced here in reverse, so in order to read the boat's name which appears on the bow, use a mirror. The name appears in Hebrew. It was named after Haviva Reik (alternately Haviva Reick, Havivah Reich, Chaviva Reiková or Chaviva Reich) (1914¿1944) was one of 32 or 33 parachutists sent by the Jewish Agency and Britain's Special Operations Executive (SOE) on military missions in Nazi-occupied Europe. Reik went to Slovakia in fall 1944 and worked with local Jewish people to resist the German occupation there. She established a camp for Russian prisoners of war who had escaped, and helped organize a Jewish resistance unit.[2] The Germans organized forces to put down the Jewish resistance, and Reik and the other parachutists escaped with about 40 local Jews into the mountains. Architekt und Architekturtheoretiker. wurde in der Malerei bei Vecchietta ausgebildet. war anfangs in Orvieto und seit 1463 in Siena tätig. wo er mit untergeordneten dekorativen und konstruktiven Arbeiten. namentlich in Festungsbauten. beschäftigt war. Ab 1478 war er mit der Fertigstellung des Palazzo Ducale in Urbino betraut. In dieser Zeit entwarf er auch verschiedene Befestigungen für seinen Auftraggeber Federico da Montefeltro. Im Jahr 1490 erhielt er den Auftrag. das Modell für die Kuppel zum Mailänder Dom anzufertigen. welches auch 1493 von Giovanni Antonio Amadeo ausgeführt wurde. Bei der Belagerung von Neapel im Jahr 1495 soll er die Erfindung der Minen gemacht haben. Seine Bedeutung liegt in seiner außerordentlichen Vielseitigkeit. welche ihn in die erste Reihe der Renaissancekünstler erhebt. wenn er auch keine hervorragende Schöpfung hinterlassen hat. Er starb 1501 in Siena und wurde dort in der Krypta der Basilica dell´Osservanza beigesetzt. Francesco di Giorgio hat neben kleineren Schriften zwei Traktate zur Architektur hinterlassen. die heute Trattato I (vermutlich 1478-1481) und Trattato II (um 1490) genannt werden.       Origineel handschrift. 33,3 x 20,4 cm. Eén blad. Recto en verso. Niet gesigneerd. Gedateerd '24 Sept 44'. Met handgeschreven aanvullingen, doorhalingen en correcties van de auteur. Enkele vouwen.* Intrigerend manuscript van het titelgedicht van Hermans' allereerste dichtbundel die in de handel verscheen. Hermans bracht tussen de regels van het vers meer dan 20 inhoudelijke wijzigingen aan. In de tweede strofe, bijvoorbeeld, heeft hij flink geworsteld met de tweede en vierde regel. Soms ook lijkt hij het juiste woord nog niet gevonden te hebben: in de laatste regel van de zesde strofe is 'vielen' vervangen door 'krampten', maar moet hij in plaats van 'verkwijnend' nog kiezen tussen 'verdorrend' en 'verwelkend'.Behalve in de interpunctie en in het gebruik van hoofd- en kleine letters wijkt dit handschrift op 7 plaatsen sterk af van de in Horror C?li (1946) gepubliceerde versie. Zo luidt de laatste regel van de vierde strofe ('en bij wier juichen alle vreugden falen.') hier nog 'En aan mijn zij door paarse tuinen dwalen. ?'. Twee complete strofen - te zamen 8 regels poëzie, door Hermans in dit manuscript al tussen twee vierkante haken gezet - zijn nimmer in druk verschenen; ze staan dus ook niet in zijn Volledige Werken 9. Gedichten (2011). Dit alles moet tot de conclusie leiden dat dit een van de eerste kladhandschriften van het duistere, surrealistische gedicht is - zo niet het eerste.Hermans schreef 'Horror Coeli' op 24 september 1944, een week nadat hij van uitgever Meulenhoff de exemplaren van de in zijn opdracht gedrukte bundel Kussen door een rag van woorden had ontvangen.

        THE MUMMY'S TOMB - AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPT

      [Wellesley, MA: S.i.], 1946. Four-page autograph manuscript, written in pencil on two leaves (recto and verso) measuring 8.5" x 11". Headed at upper margin of first leaf: "The Mummy's Tomb / by Sylvia Plath / May 17, 1946." Faint horizontal fold at center of each leaf, with occasional light pencil-smudging, else very well preserved. Housed in a custom crimson half-leather clamshell case. Autograph manuscript of Plath's early story 'The Mummy's Tomb,' written at age 13 while she attended Alice L. Phillips Junior High School in Wellesley, MA. An early flash of the author's storytelling brilliance, discussed by Andrew Wilson in his study of Plath's early work: "In February (1946) she started to keep a dream book, noting down her night-time visions of escape...More often than not she suffered from grotesque nightmares: the bad dreams continued all year - visions of dead bodies, of murder, of unspeakable atrocities. In May...she started to write a three-page murder mystery called 'The Mummy's Tomb' about a young girl who is fascinated by ancient Egypt and who one day goes to a museum to do a spot of research. There, she notices the stench of decomposing flesh coming from one of the mummy cases and sees a suspicious-looking janitor. On her return the next day, she witnesses the white-haired janitor preparing to remove the eyes from one of his female victims. The killer spots her and comes towards her, declaiming the unspeakable tortures that he will inflict upon her, but the girl strikes him with her umbrella, ties him up, frees the woman he was about to kill and, at the end, learnes she will receive a reward for the rescue. Gothic stories such as 'The Mummy's Tomb' gave the young Plath an outlet through which she could express some of the toxic feelings that, at the time, astonished and frightened her" (see: Mad Girl's Love Song: Sylvia Plath and Her Life Before Ted, 2013). Another manuscript of the story is held with Plath's papers at the Lilly Library (3pp, typed, with cover sheet - Plath MSS II, Box 8, f.15), though it would appear this one precedes. A curious work of genre fiction, unpublished. Provenance: From the author's estate (cf. Sotheby's, New York, 2 December, 2014 and 6 April, 1982).

      1946. 9 pp. altogether. Various formats; 2 cards with autogr. address. Includes 6 typed envelopes. In German, to the emigré musical scholar Viktor Zuckerkandl (1896-1965): "[...] From the clear blue hell two novels dropped into my lap - one is finished, thank God - and thus everything else which I consider more important (epistemology, politics) has been shifted to the background. And apart from this, everything in this world appears to me unimportant and precarious. One can no longer work for eternity, for we have left it behind. And as I am silly enough to be depressed by this fact more than would be adequate, my physical condition is also somewhat un-brilliant. My bouts of tiredness are rather abnormal and I battle them with vitamins, hormones, iron, calcium preparations, sometimes not altogether without success [...]" (29 Nov. 1950). Other letters contain extensive ruminations on the humanities and various novels. An undated carbon copy contains Broch's evaluation of Zuckerkandl's then-current research project with six-line greetings: "Dearest, I hope you approve of the following. MS to follow, if possible (even if it embitters the author - it usually does) with my notes of commentary [...]".

        DIECI LITOGRAFIE (Numerus, Mensura, Pondus).

      Torino, Collezione del Bibliofilo, 1946, - cartella editoriale completa, contenente 12 ff. di cartoncino (mm 350x500): Titolo con litografia dell'artista (Novara 1883 ? Torino 1963), 10 Litografie originali in bianconero, un foglio con il colophon e la giustificazione della tiratura. Conservati in cartellina orignale tutta tela con il titolo "Casorati Dieci Litografie" impresso in nero sul piatto superiore. Tutte le tavole portano la firma autografa a lapis "F.Casorati" in maiuscola a sinistra del margine inferiore, e la numerazione "18/100" a destra. Edizione unica di 100 esemplari numerati arabi, più 5 in numerazione romana. Le dieci litografie furono stampate al torchio a mano, e le lastre subito levigate. Sul frontespizio il motto "Numerus, mensura, pondus" appare su un foglio con il disegno di un seno femminile, su cui poggia la mano dell'artista. Sotto questo foglio si intravede una sfera gometrica. Tutte le litografie sono accomunate dal tema del nudo, uno dei classici temi accademici. L'attenzione al corpo umano, molto spesso nella sua nudità, rappresenta uno dei motivi da Casorati più analizzati lungo tutto l'arco della sua vita creativa. "Il nudo di donna diviene una presenza quasi ossessiva e reiterata all'interno del suo operare; è simbolo di una ricerca razionale . il motto - Numerus, mensura, pondus -, che nella sua brevità ci da forse il ritratto intimo più aderente dell'uomo e dell'artista, aiutandoci anche nel reperire la chiave di lettura necessaria per decodificare l'attitudine mentale del suo fare pittura . propone regole matematiche nella costruzione del corpo . che Casorati ben conosce e utilizza quasi come schemi mentali per costruire le sue figure all'interno dello spazio dello studio o di una stanza" (Claudia Gianferrari). Impressa subito dopo la guerra, questa cartella è rarissima, e spesso la carta è brunita. Perfetto esemplare fresco ed a pieni margini. CARLUCCIO 1964 p. 304. Id., Opera Grafica n. 51-55.       Princeton: Estate of Fred Stein. Limited Edition. no binding. Fine. STUNNING LARGE GELATIN SILVER LIMITED EDITION PHOTOGRAPH; one of the most iconic images of the 20th century. One of only 450 in the edition. "In 1946, when Albert Einstein was in residence at Princeton University, Fred Stein was granted ten minutes of the great man's time to take a portrait. After the time was up, Einstein's secretary came in to usher Stein out. However, Einstein insisted that he stay, saying that their discussion was too interesting to cut short. The secretary came back repeatedly, but the visit extended to two hours. The resulting portrait by Fred Stein pictures a deep intelligence engaged in thought. It became an iconic image, and one of the most famous photographs ever taken of Albert Einstein" (Dawn Freer, "Fred Stein: A Retrospective"). Printed later (1994) on behalf of the Fred Stein estate by Stein's son, Peter Stein: "Printed and archivally processed by a master printer under Peter Stein's supervision and to his approval, and matched as closely as possible to his father's vintage prints." Un des cent premiers exemplaires numérotés nominatifs (au nom d'un Sociétaire) sur papier à la forme, vélin pur fil. Notre exemplaire est aussi constitué d'une suite en noir des illustrations (41) sous un portefeuille couvert du même semis de fleurs que l'ouvrage. Le tirage annoncé de cette suite en noir, sur papier vélin blanc pur fil des Papeteries du Marais est de 12 exemplaires.
