These consisted of treatises devoted to -- manières universelles -- for the cutting of stones in architectures according to the principles of projective geometry and the making of sundials, etc. These attracted new assaults, this time from an expert in stonecutting, Curabelle, who devoted three pamphlets to the criticism of Desargues's works"]. COTTON, Clement
London: for Thomas Downes and James Young, 1643. I am limited to 12 photos on eBay, but I have many more photos on my website...just ask. In 1631, Puritan leader Samuel Newman published a revision of Clement Cotton's 'Bible Concordance' for his newly established colony of Reheboth, Massachusetts. He was persecuted for his Puritan teachings and immigrated to Massachusetts to escape the oppression. Newman's famous concordance was the third Bible concordance ever published in English, and this work was reprinted in hundreds of editions as late as 1889. This 1643 edition of Cotton and Newman's concordance was published in London and is notably valuable for its content as well as implications on Colonial Americana.

Thomas More, Thomas Morus, Samuel der Sorbiere
Jean Blaeu, 1643. [Click Below for Full Description]
