Brunet, II, 924. [Attributes: Hard Cover]

FIORA, Joachim
Venetijs: Ioannem Baptistam Bertonum, sub insigne Peregrini. I am limited to 12 photos on eBay, but I have many more photos on my website...just ask. Joachim of Fiore was a 12th-century Italian monastic known for his mystical teachings and visions. His prophecies enraged 12th-century Italy, though that did not stop his works from being widely popular. In fact, even in to the 16th-century, Fiore's works, along with the prophecies of other seers and monastics, were published together. Many of his prophetic visions revolved around the end of the world, end times, and the notion of an 'antichrist'. Such commentary is featured in the work 'Vaticinia'. This 1600 bilingual edition of 'Vaticinia' features a Fiore biography by Gabriel Barrio, descriptions of the prophecies of Anselm and Palmerio, illustrations of Girolamo Porro's prophetic wheel, as well as commentary on the prophecies of Pascal Regiselmo. This edition is also filled dozens of full-page emblematic engravings depicting unicorns, monsters, dragons, and other mythical creatures!

Albrecht beschikte over ca. 7000 man te voet en 1200 man ruiterij. De Spanjaarden verloren ?3000 man. [Click Below for Full Description]

Giovanni Antonio MAGINI (1555 - 1617)
1600. "ESEMPLARE IN COLORITURA COEVA.
