Poems, in English, Scotch, and Latin
Paisley: Printed by J. Neilson for the Author, 1794. Extremely scarce title. There is a contemporary inscription facing the title page: These poems are the works of my most kind and dear early fried James Grahame, author of The Sabbath. I never saw another copy, and doubt if there are half-a-dozen in existence. [signed] J. Richardson [?]. He bought them all [?] and destroyed them. There is a further, probably modern note in pencil after Richardson's signature: Friend of Sir Walter Scott. 140p. 22cm. Subjects: English literature -- Poetry -- 18th century -- Early works before 1800. Extremely scarce title.
