De vita Antonii Musae Brasavoli commentarius historic-medico-criticus, ex ipsius operibus erutus A B Aloysio Francisco Castellani.
Mantuae : Joseph Braglia 1767 - pp: xxxii, 214, [2]. Engraved frontis portrait; vignette title page, a couple of ornate initial letters. Signatures: a-b, A-M, N  Includes bibliographic references and index. Octavo hardcover (213mm X 141mm) grey paper covered thin boards (possibly contemporary), with printed spine lettering. This copy was once held at the library of the Birmingham Medical Institute, and has their name in gilt to the spine. The only other library attributes are two feint rubber stamps to the upper corners of frontis and title page. VERY GOOD condition: secure, age-dulled binding with light overall wear to extremities and outer hinge areas - corners still fairly square, and both sets of spine lettering are age-dulled, yet legible - especially the printed lettering. Inner front hinge split, yet binding and text-block are both very sturdy. Leaves are neat, clean, and crisp - apart from a small number of leaves that show feint foxing - and there are no annotations, inscriptions, marginalia, or other marks. Both frontis portrait and vignette are sharp and crisp. A nice copy of this scarce title. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
