New York 1938 - Fine, large, original pen-and-ink cartoon drawing by Mullins, signed by him lower right. 1 vols. Image 18 x 14 inches aprox. Willard Mullin (September 14, 1902 - December 20, 1978) was an American sports cartoonist. He is most famous for his creation of these "Brooklyn Bum", the personification of the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team. He received the Reuben Award for 1954 for his work, as well as the National Cartoonist Society Sports Cartoon Award for each year from 1957 through 1962, and again in 1964 and 1965. Framed and glazed. Lower right has been framed out 4 x 4 inch area Fine, large, original pen-and-ink cartoon drawing by Mullins, signed by him lower right. 1 vols.
