Original red cloth; pictorial dust jacket; original acetate. Translated from the French by Elaine Desautels. This edition was published the same year as the first editions in French and English. This celebrated work shows various drafts and the final versions of the 12 stained glass windows (one for each of the tribes of Israel) designed by Chagall for the synagogue of the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center. In fine condition, the jacket fresh and bright with one small shallow indentation (this copy without the publisher's slipcase).
