Three volumes. pp: (viii), 338, (1) Appendix; illutrated title-page, 6 plates + (ix), 288; illustrated title-page, 7 plates + (viii), 364; illustrated title-page, two portraits of author Barham, 4 plates. First Editions, uniformly bound by John Bumpus of Oxford Street in full red morocco, ribbed spines with elaborate gilt decorations and titles and dates, triple-ruled borders, elaborate gilt turn-ins, all edges gilt. All three volumes bear the bookplate of William Forbes Morgan, featuring old tomes and crests. Some scattered foxing to the plates, still nearly fine inside and out. 8" x 5" The etchings are by Bush, Cruikshank, and Leech.
