Engraved frontispiece and 25 engraved and wood-engraved plates, numerous illustrations in the text. xxix, 313 pp. 1 vols. 8vo (8-7/8 x 5-1/4 inches). Attractively bound in full speckled tan morocco. Fine. Third edition, with additions, glossary and index. Large Paper Copy. Engraved frontispiece and 25 engraved and wood-engraved plates, numerous illustrations in the text. xxix, 313 pp. 1 vols. 8vo (8-7/8 x 5-1/4 inches). LARGE PAPER. A classic work, first published in 1814, which went into numerous editions, this one being particularly well illustrated. Published in the same year as the second edition, due to "the very favourable manner which the said work is spoken of by the Sporting Magazine for April 1815, also by the New Monthly Magazine for May". This edition includes new copper-engraved plates "taken from drawings made from living fish, under the author's own inspection"
