Complete with all large folding maps but bound out of sequence according to Directions to the Binder; South America, Gulf of Mexico, Mexico or New Spain, 2 maps of South East Asia, Map of the Countries of the South Seas, plate of Mexican paintings. All bound in contemporary calf, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges marbled with matching endpapers; text very clean and bright without foxing. Light off-setting on one map; in all, a very good set with handsome maps and surprisingly scarce, locating only one complete set of this date.
