A poem on the Countess of Pomfret's benefaction to the University of Oxford.
Oxford: printed by W. Jackson; for James Fletcher, and J. Rivington and J. Fletcher, London 1756 - 12p.; 4to. With a contemporary manuscript attribution on the title page: "The Author John Vivian Fellow of Balliol". Disbound. A very good copy. Cordeaux and Merry 5339. L, O, Oe; KU-S, MH-H, CtY, CCC, CSmH in ESTC on-line. There is another issue in which the title page is not dated. "Attributed to John Vivian. - On the gift of a further portion of the Arundel Marbles to the University in 1755." ESTC. Lord Arundel was one of the first English collectors of arts and antiquities; his grandson the duke of Norfolk gave some of them to Oxford in 1667.
