Bourne, Esq.\\\' Bourne was an associate of James Long, Arthur Wavell, and Benajmin [sic] Milam, all of whom had special interests in Texas land. He spent several years in Mexico and Texas, had a copy of Austin\\\'s 1822 map, and wrote a brief description of Texas published in 1828.
