(Horsemanship)
Paris: , 1625. Size: 370 × 465 mm. Copperplate engraving. Some thinning, and minor repairs to central fold, otherwise in good condition. From the L'Instrction du Roy en L'Exercise de Monter a Cheval by Antoine de Pluvinel. A very important work on equestrianism, engraved by the Dutch engraver Crispijn de Pass. Pluvinel's innovative method of horse training was regarded as much more humane than earlier methods. This is a fine, early, highly decorative equestrian print.
