Ansel Adams praises an aspiring photographer to Polaroid: ?I felt that he had a very interesting ?eye? and deserved encouragement. We do not see many good roll-film Polaroid Land prints these days, and I think he achieved some excellent compositions??
Carbon Typed Letter Signed ?AA? in ink, 1p, 8.5? x 11?. Carmel, California, March 21, 1969. To Polaroid Corporation, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Attention: Jim Hartnett et al, cc Rednor Coombs. This is the carbon letter sent to Rednor Coombs in Fitchburg, Mass. (original postmarked envelope from Adams to Coombs is present.) Ansel Adams added a six line Typed Letter Signed ?Ansel Adams? in ink in the blank left margin. Three file holes at blank left edge. Fine condition.Letter to Polaroid signed A.A.? In full: ?Here are some prints [Rednor Coombs, 15 Marshall Street, Fitchburg, Massachusetts 01420] He is the one I spoke about and requested roll film for. He received them and is very appreciative!
