Publishers decorated green cloth sunned on the spine and edges of the boards. Gilt border, title and white, black and gilt heart and lady illustration on front cover. Atlanta book seller ticket lower right corner of front paste down. Inscribed by Riley on right front end sheet; "For Miss Rubye Rich, with greetings - James Whitcomb Riley." Riley also wrote two lines on the same page; "What was The Golden Age, in truth, Is yet The Golden Age of Youth." Light soiling to front cover. Cloth is sunned on spine and edges of boards. Rubye Rich (Strauss) was born in Atlanta in 1882. She was the daughter of Emanuel Rich, cofounder with brother Morris of the Rich's Department store.
