GOODBYE MR. CHIPS (Original 1939 Color Lobby Card SIGNED By Greer Garson)
Culver City, CA: MGM, 1939. Hilton, James (novelist) (Greer Garson, Robert Donat, actors). ORIGINAL 1939 LOBBY CARD FOR 'GOODBYE MR. CHIPS' SIGNED BY GREER GARSON. Two small pinholes, a tiny nick out of one corner but otherwise the Lobby Card is in VG-Fine condition, the color is still bright, the signature is nicely inked, and it's the best still in the original 1939 8-lobby card set, showing Mr. Chips meeting (and dancing with) his wife for the first time. The film was produced by Victor Saville at MGM and directed by Sam Wood. The screenplay was adapted from the 1934 novelette of the same name by James Hilton. Donat received the Best Actor Oscar for his performance. Greer Garson (in her first ever feature film role was nominated but lost out to Vivian Leigh in GONE WITH THE WIND) . . Signed. Unbound. Very Good to Near Fine.
