Philadelphia and New York: J. B. Lippincott Company , 1938 In publisher's copper cloth boards with black-lettered titles, with slight shelf wear. Dust jacket is intact, with price on inside flap, but torn along folds, with moderate wear, in Mylar protective sleeve. Inscribed by the author, in pencil, on the front paste-down facing the front free end paper which has a map of the world. The inscription reads: " To Barbara, With whom several of the best days of my life have been initiated. Bucky- Aug 20 1948". This is the author's scarce early novel. The dust jacket description says, "this book is as important for your mid as food for your body... an adventure story of thought... a book that will arouse both curiosity and controversy." Interior pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is solid. Edges of text block are clean. With three appendices, including tipped in folding charts. This is the author's scarce early novel. Fuller was an engineer, inventory, author, philosopher, and Renaissance man whose influence and following has steadily risen over time.
