(8.25 x 5.25 inches). 5 volumes: [xii], cxxxi, 335; [vi], 407; [vi], 427; [vi], 438; [vi], 322, vi, [55, Index and Errata]. All half-title and title pages present. Engraved frontis to each volume, and with a portrait of Hoole to Volume I. Frontis to Vol. III engraved by William Blake after Stothard. Contemporary half calf gilt over plain paper-covered boards. All somewhat rubbed, calf a little dry, one outer joint cracked though not affecting integrity of the binding, paper scuffed to upper board of Vol.IV. Spines just-cracked vertically to Vols III and IV, from opening, but again not affecting binding. Armorial bookplate to all front pastedowns. Prelims and extrems a little spotted, dusty. O/w contents clean and bright. Binding firm and square. A Very Good set. Heavy books, requiring much extra postage overseas. First English language edition.
