London: Cape, 1959. 1st edition, 8vo, 318pp, this copy is in what people are now calling the 1st state with the extra point of detail to the upper left of skull; I have to say that I'm old enough to have been around when this thing came out and I can't recall people ever referring to a "!st state" but there you are, that's James Bond books for you; bit of light spotting to endpapers, a minor bump to upper corner of text block and a very slight lean to text block but by and large a pleasing example, certainly VG Copy in sound DJ that has some ringmark soiling and splashing to the inner faces that, for once, is not visible from the outer; there is some light soiling to lower panel and some general light rubbing to all extrems; but this is a sound DJ without loss and retaining the original price; given the cost of these books we are happy to supply further photos upon request. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
