Cambria Depicta: A Tour through North Wales, ilustrated with Picturesque Views.
E Williams 1816. In a superb modern full green goatskin, by Paul Delrue, with blind tooling. Spine, raised bands, blind and gilt tooling, title in gilt to maroon leather label, edges beveled with attractive gilt work. Internally, light brown marbled endpapers, binders signature to fpd, frontis, [3], (iv-xv), [1], [1], 2-467 pp, 71 pl (of 71), [4] adverts, text block edges reddened, minimal browning to edges, occasional light spotting. A very good copy, in a superb binding by Delrue. (Abbey 521. Prideaux 348. Tooley 386. Allibone 1702) Pugh exhibited twenty-three pictures, mainly miniature portraits at the Royal Academy between 1793 and 1808. Another of his pictures was exhibited posthumously in 1821. Pugh supplied the drawings for Modern London, 1805, and, inspired by Boydell, wrote Cambria Depicta: A Tour through North Wales . which, illustrated with over seventy of the author's own drawings, was published posthumously in 1816.
