Pale sage green coloured end pages. The text is illustrated with colour and black-and-white photographs, colour and black-and-white illustrations and architectural drawings. Sage green coloured boards with white coloured embossed titles to the front panel. Photographic dustwrapper with brown, black and green coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Slipcase has been covered in a dark chocolate brown coloured cloth with self embossed titles to the front panel. Robin Dods was an architect working in the subtropical environment of Brisbane, Australia, in the late part of the 19th and early part of the 20th century. He was renowned for designing extraordinarily innovative and stylish houses for the environment he lived in; thereby developing a unique architectural approach which became the earliest examples of climate-responsive design in Australia. This is a small biography and large retrospective of his work. This is a limited edition slipcase volume - of which this is number 32 of 150 copies. Included is a print of the roof structure of St. Bridget's Church, Red Hill, Brisbane. Both the book and dustwrapper have minimal damage - at most some light rubbing. The slipcase is likewise in excellent condition with a little rubbing of the back strip corners and perhaps to the corners where the book inserts. Special Limited Edition, first issue in this format.
