'In Field's "Essay" this work is eulogized in the glowing style peculiar to that gentleman. As a book of wood-cuts it is interesting, as a book of authorship it is a capital illustration of the use of a pair of scissors. The work of Mr E.G. Squier furnished the author with a large proportion of the text, and Mr Squier is a good authority.' Morase vol. 2., pp.20 ‘Paul Marcoy is the pseudonym of L. de Saint-Cricq, who at times used the name 'Carmoy'. He was a companion of Castelnau ...
