Handwritten presentation to Charles Wellock, embarked on the good ship "Scottish Prince" bound for Townsville, Queensland, Sept. 4th 1878.
- Printed in gold & blue on sepia background. Extremely scarce ephemera, an early Townsville association. The early emigrant ships arriving in Townsville from 1877-1881 had distinctly Scottish names - Scottish Knight, Scottish Bard, Sir William Wallace, Scottish Prince & Scottish Hero. With a penciled message on the back, "these few lines to you asking it will find you quite well and tell Elizabeth to be a good girl." . 5x7 1/2", a bit browned overall, 2 tiny margin tears repaired archivally.
