THE COMPLETE WINNIE-THE-POOH ~ Comprising: When We Were Very Young, Winnie The Pooh, Now We Are Six and The House At Pooh Corner – All first edition, first printings 1924-7 Methuen - ALL SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR
London: Methuen, 1927. We are pleased to present a rare set of jacketed, signed first trade editions of A A Milne's 'Winnie The Pooh' series. All are in first edition, first issue dust wrappers and all are signed without dedication to the title page. 'When We Were Very Young': A first edition, first printing published by Methuen in 1924. A near fine book without inscriptions - previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. SIGNED by the Author to the title page. A little rubbed to the edges. With 'ix' to the contents page. In a very good+ (or better) dust wrapper which is a little rubbed to the edges and corners. No loss to the wrapper at all - a lovely example. 'Winnie The Pooh': A first edition, first printing published by Methuen in 1926. A near fine book with a hint of spotting to the edges. Gilt top edge still present. SIGNED without dedication to the title page. In a very good first issue dust wrapper which has small imperceptible stain to the front panel and a little light wear to the spine tips and corners. None of the usual heavy browning to the spine as is often encountered. Very scarce to find this first edition signed. 'The House At Pooh Corner': A first edition, first impression, published by Methuen in 1928. A near fine book SIGNED without dedication to the title page by the Author. In a near fine unclipped dust wrapper with a little browning to the spine and some rubbing - rare signed. 'Now We Are Six': A first edition, first printing published by Methuen in 1927. A near fine book SIGNED by the Author without dedication to the title page. In a very good+ unclipped wrapper with some light internal repairs and a little light staining. Some rubbing - bright and clear dust wrapper. A superb set of unrestored, signed first edition, first printings. This is the first set of signed trade editions we have seen for a long time.
