Printed on watermarked handmade paper by Ballantyne Hanson & Co., Edinburgh & London. Inscribed to head of half-title: "Annie Fell from H[elen]. Allingham, Dec. '97." Dust-jacket incomplete (spine & fr. panel lacking, & lt.-to-moderate edge-chipping & staining to rear panel & flaps); binding Near-Fine (minor rubbing to extremities); contents Near-Fine (infrequent lt. stains)--a truly brilliant copy even w/its incompl. d-j.
