Bensenville: Mimeo Press, 1965. First edition. Paperback. A near fine copy in saddle-stitched wrappers, as issued. One of 500 copies. The author's first book of prose, and the introduction to one Henry Chinaski, Bukowski's alter-ego. This copy is inscribed by Bukowski to Cert Secunda, and dated '8-14-66." With an original signed typescript poem titled "A Bottomless Joint On Sunset Near Western." This poem was published in 1969, in Stooge, #3. The publisher, Doug Blazek, announcing the book said, "it would be indecent to say something about Buk. Words do him no honor. the man himself is his greatest tribute." Krumhansl 17.
