Book Club Edition. 8vo., 343pp.; VG/VG; spine black with white label and black and maroon lettering; dust jacket protected with a mylar covering, very mild shelfwear, limited to corners, head and tail of spine; the dust jacket is price cut, has "1/66" on the bottom front flap. The back dust jacket flap says "Publishers of the American College Dictionary and the Modern Library", copyright page states first printing; the above points all indicate a first printing, however the lower rear back cover near the spine has a faint and hard to notice small debossed square. This marks the book as a BCE/BOMC; SIGNED flat on half-title page by Truman Capote; shelved case 2. Dupont.
