The majority of the copies of the portfolio for distribution in America were destroyed by a fire in the basement at Wright's house Taliesin in 1914. Originally published in Berlin in 1910-11 as "Ausgefuhrte Bauten und Entwurfe." All but one of the copies of the 1910-11 edition was burned in a warehouse fire. That one copy was used to produce this edition under an agreement Frank Lloyd Wright reached with Horizon Press in 1958. Width: 17" Height: 26.5" . Portfolio with black cloth spine and fore edge, printed brown paper-covered boards, and white-lettered orange pastedown to front cover. Preserved in a cardboard wrap-around, not original. .
