Superbly bound by Noulhac in full black crushed morocco in Jansenist style, however with lavish and bold gilt-blocked spine containing six designs between each raised band, elaborately gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers on heavy stock. Included is a separate photograph (6 x 4") of Noulhac and his wife, in his studio in Paris, exceedingly rare, and signed by both Noulhac and wife (imprinted on mounting papere, "Stanislas, Paris"). Book with etched frontispiece, all edges gilt. Noulhac, 1866-1931, according to Alastair Duncan in Art Nouveau and Art Deco Bookbinding:
