Dominion Museum 1942-1970, Wellington - Rubber stamp of "Library, Dominion Museum, Wellington, N.Z." on front endpaper and top page edges of each volume. No other library markings. A clean and tidy set that has had little use.; 6 cloth bound volumes. Illustrated, including a few colour plates in Volume One. The subjects of the individual papers are mostly zoological, including in particular many articles on mollusca, and several ichthyological articles. Some articles are of Antarctic or Sub-Antarctic interest. Volume One contains the article "Carved Maori Houses of the Eastern Districts of the North Island" by W. J. Phillipps. Volume Three has articles on the Cape Crozier Emperor Penguin colony and the Adelie Penguins of Ross and Beaufort Islands. Volume Four contains an article on the known occurences of Sunfish in New Zealand waters, and has in illustration of a Sunfish which was stranded at Palliser Bay in 1949. Volume Five has a large folding colour map of the Cape Hallett Adelie Penguin Rookery in a pocket, also an article on subantarctic grasses.; Ex-Library; 8vo [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
