London: Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1961 - Octavo. Original orange cloth, spine lettered in gilt, pink endpapers. With the pink pictorial dust jacket. Occasional light spotting, slight rubbing to extremities, dust jacket chipped on spine and edges. A very good copy. 38 photographic plates. First edition, first impression. This copy is inscribed by the author to Arabella and Mark Boxer, dated to June 1961. Mark Boxer was a profile artist, cartoonist and magazine editor, becoming Founding Editor of the Sunday Times colour supplement and later being appointed editor of Tatler in 1983. Arabella Boxer was a successful cookery writer. [Attributes: First Edition]
