Text of each volume remarkably clean and bright. Small lib. stamp on each title page ("BIBLIOT. SCHOL. ANT. OBS. COL. CLUN" with an image of the coat-of-arms of Cluny, France). Scuffing to all covers and varying degrees of bumping to nearly all corners. Spines darkened and brittle with leather missing from some gutter parts. White library numbers on all spines. Bindings and covers mostly tight; all text blocks tight/secure. Varying degrees (from none to middling) of staining to some pages, mostly at an edge/corner. A few small spots here and there, but none appear to be foxing. Volume I, Part I: Map torn in two places and wrinkled at gutter. Volume II has pp. xli - xliv bound out of place after p. xlviii and the map, but the text is complete. Map has one small edge tear and a wrinkle at the gutter. Volume III: nothing unusual. Volume VII: white lib. mark at head of spine, upside-down; map has small tear and wrinkle at gutter; leather peeling at hinge of back cover; leather missing from 4 gutters.
