Toronto: Ryerson, 1926. 1st Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+. Square 8vo., 59 pages. Paper over boards with printed cover label. Clean covers. Interior very good+. 1 of 200 copies printed but 190 are for sale (and SIGNED by the author.) This is number 196 of the two hundred copies. One of the ones "not for sale"? Plus a presentation copy signature from Carman on the front end paper written on a Christmas card pasted down "To E.J. Vickery Bliss Carman 1928" Very light wear at tips of spine and to paper-covering at tips of corners, a very good+ copy. Likely presented to E(dgar). J. Vickery (1890-1940) Bookseller, Halifax and Yarmouth, Edgar J. Vickery owned a bookstore opposite the old Post Office at what was then 307 Main Street. He also operated a "Circulating Library" charging 2 cents per day or 10 cents per week. BAL 2747.
