Limited Editions Club, New York 1987 - This edition consists of 800 copies.The text was set in monotype Walbaum at the out of sorts letter foundry in Mamaroneck, New York. This book has been printed on Mould-made Magnani paper at the Shagbark Press in South Portland, Maine. The Lithographs were printed on hand made Japanese paper at Trestle Editions Ltd. New York City. the design is by Benjamin Shiff. This book has been hand sewn and hand bound by Carol Joyce in Stockton, New Jersey. This is copy 539. Book is signed by most likely the illustrator, though I can't tell. Book is translated from the German by Willa and Edwin Muir. A beautiful presentation of a great classic.
