Werkbundsiedlung Internationale Ausstellung Wien 1932: 70 Eingerichtete Hauser
Wien, 1932. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good. Very scarce programme for this key 1932 architectural exhibition: the "largest building exhibition in Europe", showing 70 furnished houses and a 'Kaffeehuas', all designed by 32 distinguished modern architects from Austria, Germany, France, America and Holland; e.g. Josef Hoffmann, Clemens Holzmeister, Ernst Lichtblau, Adolf Loos, Walter Loos, Andre Lurcat, Ernst A. Plischke, Richard Neutra, Gerrit Rietveld, Walter Sobotka and Oskar Strang, etc. Catalogue gives construction details and names of the interior architects and contractors as well as the architect for each house, all accompanied by floor-plans. Bound in original decorative printed wrappers; 122 pages; illustrated from photos and plans; also includes 24 pages of period advertisements. Condition: upper wrapper with some slight creasing, a few pages mildly foxed, contents age toned; no pen-marks and no loose leaves. Overall just about very good for an item that is essentially ephemeral.
