Illustrated with three watercolors by Cartier-Bresson, expertly transformed into multicolor woodblock prints by Keiji Shinohara, averaging twenty-five individual blocks per image. The typography was designed and hand-set by Dan Carr and Julia Ferrari, who chose to alternate the lines of the original French text in Gill Sans Light with the translation by Wallace Fowlie in Perpetua. Printed by Daniel Keleher at the Wild Carrot Letter Press in Hadley, MA, and bound in quarter red leather and sand cloth by Carol Joyce of the Academy Bindery. Limited Editions Club Newsletter announcing the book laid in. Very fine in matching sand clamshell box with leather title label to spine.
