In the Naturalist's Library series, 2 volumes, complete set, FIRST EDITION 1833. 8vo, approximately 170 x 105 mm, 6¾ x 4¼ inches, portrait frontispiece in each volume, hand-coloured vignette on each engraved title page, and 64 hand-coloured plates with tissue guards, 11 wood engravings in the text, with memoirs of Linnaeus and Pennant, pages: [6], 1-147 plus 40 (adverts); iv, 3, 1-166 including index, plus 46 pages of adverts, an extra title page to Volume I has been bound in error with the title pages to Volume II, bound in modern dark green quarter morocco over marbled boards, gilt raised bands to spine, small gilt motif in gilt ruled compartments, edges untrimmed, new endpapers, original green printed upper wrapper bound in at front of Volume I. Pale offsetting from portrait to title page in Volume I, occasional pale foxing affecting 3 plates, neat old ink name to half-titles otherwise a very good clean tight set.
