Random House, 1980 First edition, first printing inscribed by Truman Capote to his close friends Pulitzer Prize winning San Francisco author and columnist Herb Caen and his wife MT Caen. Inscription reads: "For M.T. and Herbaceous With the hope that you will find some music here somewhere. Much love, Truman." Also signed by Capote in full on the title page. Comes in a custom-made collector's slipcase. The Caens attended Capote's famous Black and White party in New York City in 1966 and their accounts of the party were quoted by George Plimpton.
