London: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1964. Final Shooting script for the 1965 UK film. Included is a vintage color studio still from the UK release of the film. A British newspaper offers a prize to the winner of a cross-channel air race, bringing aviators from around the world to compete for the chance at victory, grabbing the attention of various women. Gert Frobe, who would go on to play Goldfinger in the classic James Bond film, makes an appearance as a German officer who reads the instruction booklet of a plane while trying to keep it airborne. A number of authentic airplanes from the 1900s were used during production, including a 1910 Deperdussin Monoplane and a 1912 Blackburn Monoplane. Nominated for an Academy Award (Best Writing). A story set and shot on location in England, including Book Airfield in Buckinghamshire. Black titled wrappers, with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, noted as Final Shooting Script, dated April 1964, with credits for screenwriters Annakin and Jack Davies. 166 leaves, photographically reproduced. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine internally bound with two silver brads.
