Address Given at the Memorial Service for Ian Fleming. St Bartholomew the Great.
Westerham: Privately printed at the Westerham Press, September 15th , 1964. Octavo. Original black wrappers,printed paper label to front cover. With the original unprinted glassine. An excellent copy, with some shallow chips to the glassine. First edition, wrappered issue. The South African poet and novelist William Plomer had been publisher's reader for Jonathan Cape from 1937. He was instrumental in the publication of Fleming's work and the dedicatee of Goldfinger. With a letter laid-in from the then-chairman of Jonathan Cape, Michael S. Howard, presenting the copy as a gift to a Mr Pope.
