Typed letter, signed ("Felix Frankfurter") on Supreme Court stationery, one page, 5 1/2 x 8 inches, double-spaced, to Thomas M. Galey, written about two weeks after the tragic death of Judge Robert P. Patterson in an airplane crash
A touching letter in appreciation of Patterson, whom Frankfurter elsewhere termed "as able a judge as there is in the land off the Supreme Court" and whom, at Frankfurter's urging, Roosevelt appointed to join Henry Stimson at the War Department. One sheet, folded twice, well-preserved, the signature in black ink, quite bold. N.p., Washington, 1952.
